This page describes what we collect when you place a bid on backpads and what we do with it. It is deliberately short, because we collect very little.
What we collect
- The brand name, email address and, if you give them, the website and logo you submit with a bid.
- The bid itself: the slot, its length, the price you bid and the time you placed it.
- Payment details are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
What is public
Bids appear in the public bid history on the front page: brand name, the slot and its length, the price and how long ago it was placed. Your email address, your contact details and anything you send us privately are never published.
What we do with it
We use your email to tell you when your creative has been reviewed, when you have been outbid, and when a slot you won is due for payment. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
How long we keep it
Bid records stay for as long as the auction record stands. Contact details are deleted on request, unless we are required to keep an invoice for tax purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the contact address in the footer and we will answer within thirty days.
